Kraftwerks High Boost kit for AP2
camuman, remember when you and I had our highway battle, SOT vs KW? hehe, you had me on the low rpm TQ but the efficency of the Rotrex won out in the high rpm. We both made similar whp numbers @ peak.
Overall I loved the attention to detail and quality of the fitment of the kit, but it had too many shortcomings and parts failures. The SOS kit is capable of more power, the KW kit was already maxed out right out of the box which was a BIG disappointment.

Oh yeah. And then my throttle cable popped off rofl. Kw kit is very efficient that's for sure. Very unique sound too.
I've had the KW kit since April of 2009 and am still very happy with the kit. I currently have just over 12,000 miles on it and have never had ANY issues. The ONLY thing that I would like is that KW should somehow get the C38 blower to work with this kit so people could make 450whp or so. If you are ok with making no more than around 380whp this is a great kit. I would still buy it again over the SOS kit. I have a good friend who has the SOS 1200 kit and it is a very well put together kit also. After experiencing both I still choose the KW. IMHO if you want even more power maybe look into the P-Tuning turbo kit...currently my first choice if I would ever ditch this kit.

I have the KW High Boost kit as well. With an HKS exhaust I am very happy with it. I do track it and beat on it at the track. Thats what its for right? I have only had one issue and that was the tensioner which I was told its now upgraded bearings. I called kraftwerks about it last year , and they immediately helped me out. Keep in mind for my tensioner i drove the car at 9k rpm for 80 min a day. It went out day 3.
I'm in the chicago area, thats where I got mine installed. If you need any help let me know
Also there selling a kit for the 8th gen Civic.. I dont think there dead. They are already shipping them out.

I had the KW High Boost kit installed since October. What are you getting for MPG? I am settling to about 16.5. I used to be between 23.5 and 24 mpg before the install. Also, does anyone have trouble with slow starts? I still have my OEM battery (from 2005), but the slow start started right after installing the kit. It always starts, but instead of the normal 1/2 sec on the start button, sometimes it's 1 to 2 seconds.
for what it's worth, here's my timeline of ownership since 2008:
16600 miles - bought the car
19640 miles - KWSC installed low boost
35858 miles – 2100 series competition clutch and flywheel installed
35908 miles – high boost (10 lbs) pulley installed
47306 miles – auto tensioner replaced
My car's now at 59900 miles. I also had to replace a pulley bolt that I over-torqued when I installed the high boost pulley. Pretty reliable I would say. As far as drivability goes, things get moving at about 5000 rpm. And to the guy who's spinning wheels in 4th gear, you must be running donuts
/> . I run 255w star specs in back and have almost no traction issues in any gear!
