I'm on the same boat. I was going to go for the kraftwerks but Mase will have the funds in my savings account. ;D

[QUOTE=dsddcd,Apr 7 2010, 06:21 PM] It is MUCH easier to remove Mase's kit.

How about you get your facts straight instead of being Goddard's bitc... puppet. The only issue with the KW kits has been the tensioner pulley, KW fixed that FOR FREE with their oustanding customer service. I would say that 95% of any other issue with the kit has been due to the owner modifying it in some way, i.e. running a smaller boost pulley or over-tightening the bolts. There a a lot of us that have tracked our kits several times with ZERO issues, myself included. I believe there is one guy out west that has something like 20 or 30 track days with ZERO issues. Goddard spent $20K modifying the kit because he's an engineer and its in their nature to tinker with stuff, but he didn't NEED to spend a dime, so stop being BIASED and taking one persons word for gospel.

KW - great daily driver kit, immaculate quality and fit, bolt on and go, strong powerband all the way up, and perfect for track use. Not everyone needs or wants 500+whp to be "king of the street". This is the kit for those people who want great power delivery throughout the band, great reliabilty, track capability, and with no need to pay for time on a dyno to tune it.

Mase - has growth potential, great quality, but honestly I don't know much else about it, so unlike dsddcd, I won't say anything about something I have little first-hand knowledge of.

And by the way... Benihana is a fellow South Florida guy, he has ridden in my car, and he knows me so he can verify that I'm an honest guy and that I KNOW what I'm talking about.
People on hear need to chill out. The kit did have a few issues with the tensioner system and the increased ap2 redline reflash that overspins the blower slightly and there were a few people with water pump pully issues...what they were is undetermined. I am sure they have sorted out most of the small issues and it is a great kit. That is why I was very close to buying one.

The quality of this Mase turbo kit is excellent as well. The installation manual is first class, just like the KW kit. Mase customer service is first class also...no to mention he is one of the best tuners in the country. The Mase kit is very easy to work on and install or deinstall vs. other kits out there. That is why I went this route. You also get a pretuned aem/kpro etc with the Mase kit so no dyno time needed either!

Two great kits...pick your poison.

This entire paragraph is complete bullshit.
Here two posts I found worth reading on the issues I mentioned.

If you want to talk about the problems with Mase's Kit the list will be short. The only issue I know of is a bad batch of air filters from AEM that melted.

As for the Vortech, there have been failures with these kits also, but they are much cheaper initially, easier to find parts for and easily upgraded.

I never said that the kit was junk, just that it is not without issues.

KW if you hit the track (not 1/4 mile). Otherwise, I would go with the Mase kit. My preference was Comptech --> Vortech --> KW --> SOS. Now I wish I waited almost a year being N/A and going for the Mase kit instead.

I have to agree with everyone else, from everything that I've read so far... I haven't seen any issues with the KW kit. But just to be un-biased, I'll let you know if my KW kit has an issue.

When I go FI again I am going with the SOS kit. I love everything I have read about it and I went the turbo route and want a SC now.

Thank You, good luck with the kit, I can guarantee you are going to be super happy with FI but, you know once you go Boost you can't go back to N/A.
