Who is likely a bit more qualified than some rumor-repeating simpleton that doesn't know any better. Let's look at KW kit failures and modified kits? I'd say three out of the four kits with issues had Goddard's "improved" (lol) tensioner on them. Coincidence?

????
I am not sure who you are talking about but, all I can tell you is what I have read of the last few years.

So there are no issues, then?

Did you read what I wrote? The KITS WITH GODDARD'S PARTS HAD THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE PARTS FAILURES. Do I need to change the font size?

You are an A.. Where did you get your data from? Plenty of people had issues with tensioners without Goddards fix! I guess you like the kit so much your selling it. Stop trolling the thread.

the only concern i have about the mase kit is can the stock drivetrain (no thicker headgasket, no low compression pistons, no reinforced differentials) handle such high horsepower and torque in the long term?

Talking about blower and waterpump pulley failures. A ten minute tensioner update is hardly an issue.

The thing that I like about a turbo is the ability to raise and lower the boost on the fly. You can change a pulley but that is all, with a turbo you can vary the boost by gear, rpm, throttle position........

So I guess to answer the question you can raise or lower the power at will. As for the engine any amount of boost will cause accelerated wear, the extent of wear is highly dependent on your tuners ability and your right foot. As for the drive train it may or may not that really depends on how you drive it and there will be no difference between kits.

what is the cost of the mase kits? i've been considering FI for awhile and was pretty sure i was going to go SOS, but now i'm on the fence!

edit: also, the only info I can find lists the mase kits as being available only for non-dbw s2ks, is that true?

i see your point. i was just wondering if anybody out there with the mase kit put any upgrades such as lowering the compression somehow and reinforcing the differential for peace of mind. Thank you for your input.
