The horse has been beaten, set fire to, backed over with a dump truck and sent to the glue factory but thought I’d share this little morsel with what’s left of the on lookers...

well kraftwerks is skunk2, they clearly have a good relationship as lht sell alot of the kraftwerks kits it only makes sense that they hawk the same junk2 header to go with their s/c kit. kraftwerks, skunk2 and grams are sub-divisions of group-a autosport, and all located in the same facility.

Well after all this kraftwerks made thing right for me, figured i would post some positive feed back after all this. 1st tune i made 385hp and 245tq with a no name fart can cat back with a silencer tip welded in, Then i installed a fujitsubo legalis r cat back and test pipe and 427hp and 287tq! Then 3 weeks ago and around 2k miles on the kit i blew a head gasket on a really hard street pull.
I installed a cometic .075" head gasket and ARP head stud kit and just re tuned yesterday. I made 9hp and 10tq less probably due to lowering compression to and estimated 9.7:1 (Science of speed website) It should be a much more reliable set up and Im happy with it as long as im not replacing head gaskets every 1000mi but we will see

Well...I just got the C38-81 kit for my AP1. I got a great deal on it. It was "used" but BNIB. The original buyer never installed or even took it out of the KW box...probably because he saw this thread, lol!

I got the kit minus injectors and ecu for around $3500. I have ID 1000's, Haltech Platinum Pro Plug in Play, and everything else needed for SC like, fuel pump, clutch, etc.

I bought this kit because the SOS with the Novi 1200 would have been around $5k. I thought with the extra $1500 I'm saving, I could fix whatever issues we encounter...now this thread has me a little scared, lol.

It seems like with KW you either send to LHT for install or you go SOS, lol.

It is certainly possible to do an LHT-esque install yourself, but it takes a lot of research. I read this entire thread and watched literally every LHT install video up until 9/19 when I installed mine to learn all of the part numbers, the tricks, etc. Even with an LHT-style install, you are not guaranteed not to have issues, they happened to the author of this thread. If you really risk averse, go with SOS. you will probably make less power and spend more, but they are more reliable. You can also do the TTS kit to make about the same power as KW with more reliability, but you will end up spending $7k+ I think.
