Man.......How bad would that suck if you were cruising along and accidentally hit the line lock?
hahaha. yeah that would suck. thats why you have two switches. one to arm the system, and the momentary for when you actually use the locks. also good to have a lighted switch or led to tell you the system is armed.

With this system, to do the burn out itself, do you still rev it and drop it (but now the front wheels are locked) or can you slip the clutch while giving it gas until the wheels start to spin?

If the latter, that will definatly save some unnecessary stress on the diff.

depends on the tires, if your in the water box at the strip, and the amount of power your putting down as to whether or not you'd have to "drop" the clutch. street tires and even some drag radial are going to break loose if you just slip the clutch with lets just say 400hp(since most of yall are putting down around that), but with a slick your gonna have to rev it up and drop the clutch or you will bog.

a line lock is simply a valve. it stays open to allow flow of the brake fluid when you don't have power running to it, and when the power is running to it, the line lock blocks the fluid from releasing pressure from the brakes. all you have to do is pump and hold your brake pedal down, engage the linelock, and release the pedal. your front brakes will still be applied.

In my case:

when it comes to the water box, I plan on just dumping the clutch.
When it comes to launching might be a different story. I still plan on dumping the clutch but maybe not as much. My weakest link will now be my AP2 tranny.

Chrysler 8 3/4" rear with 1000hp rated axles.

Rear is heavier than Honda obviously. Bigger and bulkier.

Honda rear approx weight = 75lb
Chrysler rear approx weight = 110lb

Part of this is because the cover is made of steel.

May I ask why you didn't go with the R200 conversion?

im sure the R200 will hold up fine, but I am positive the chrysler unit can probably take a lot more beating and abuse.
