I haven't decided yet. The R888s are R comp correct? Most likely the R comp.
Streeting R comps is expensive and foolish. Heat cycling them on the street will ruin them quickly and req them to be replaced frequently. Star Specs have been more than adequate for me at 450whp. Real Street Performance runs star specs on their drag car in street trim.

Basically if you're street driving use a street tire.

Disagree. I've got 20k miles on my ra1's and they still work great. I think people overreact with this whole heat cycling thing.

What's the point of serious power if you have to limit it till fourth gear. Smh

I'm not boosting by gear. Straight off the boost controller. No issues with traction 255 star specs 450whp 300wtq.

First gear steps out 2nd gear chirps slightly 3rd gear is full traction. The street tire will last longer and be far safer on the street especially if you get caught in rain, which may happen.

Great looking car and build! Mine is taking a lot longer than i originally thought too. Seems both of our problems stem from using BW turbos lol

that ptuning vacuum block is ill. that's the first time i have seen that. might have to pick one up now

good luck

Yeah I will see when I get my car back what tires I want to get. At this point I just want it back and want to drive it. Its been so long I don't even mind just driving it off of the Wastegate and probably be happy for a bit.

welp, toyo has axed the RA1. that blows major goat balls. i am looking at the hankook rs3. the r888 is prolly awesome in dry weather, but rain you would die. ra1 at least was super rain friendly until half thread. also looking at nitto tires. super sad face. my rears are at half thread, so i could prolly get away with replacing those in a year, but the fronts are at 65-70% and they dont make those anymore. i am picky about this car, i want fronts and rears to match. oh well, running these to the ground then worry later.

look at the rs3 though. very sticky street tires at a bargain.

No love for ET Streets? My last set held up quite well (they were still on the car when I sold it).

Are the ET streets drag radials? The Ventus RS3 might be the right tires. Again I pretty much put this setup to see what she could do, but by no means as I am going to run it at full power all the time. Its more of a fun street car with the ability to push it to higher numbers when I want to. Like you guys said, just running through the gears wont be fun at all.
