Default The little things ?

I have recently purchased an AFI turbo kit and it should be here in a few weeks. I know that this is not the best idea to be on a tight schedule but i have only a few days to get it installed before my tune date. Acording to AFI it comes with all hoses and fittings ect ect. Yet im praying that everything is going to fit how it should and im just really worried here because nothing ever goes how it should especially when it has wheels on it.

Aside from that : i have everything ordered. map sensor, ems, gauges, tapped oil pan, fuel pump, ect ect. I am going to install as much of this as i can before the kit is here so that i have as much time as i can get on bolting the kit on and running my oil lines and such. BUT TO THE POINT i am looking for someone who knows maybe a bit about this kit or who knows what else may be needed. Like how should i run my oil feed ? should i use a T fitting or where and how would YOU think is the best way. What about my battery ? i have read someone said with this kit you need to reloacte your battery but im not sure about the P's and Q's and i have about 3 weeks to try and best figure out what small things i may need to purchase ahead of time to make this less painful. If anyone has any input or any ideas for me on what else i can get please let me know thanks.

i had just messaged the AFI sales account on honda tech and he had said that the battery relocate is not really needed but recommended. along with some small tinkering and relocating of small things just as any turbo kit.. but again looking for input of what else you guys think i should buy to keep it easier on me so i have these things there when i need them.

give us a nice detailed list that tells us what you have already purchased, injectors are a more major thing but even smaller things you will certainly need. Brackets for the intercooler, a decent vacuum line for the bov and other little things you can forget about.

You can install your fuel pump ahead of time, that will save you an hour or so.

If you are going to relocate your battery, now would be the time to do it. Most switch to a dry cell battery when doing a relocate.

You really need to read "518315" afi build. Unfortunately your kit is not a bolt on and go kit.

the kit comes with : http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2561948 this is a thread showing the pictures of the fittings and hoses and such of what the kit has.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

listed it says :AFI Twin scroll tubular manifold
AFI 3" v-band downpipe
AFI external dumptubes
AFI S2000 800WHP intercooler w/ Garrett 24x12x3.5 core
AFI 2.75" powdercoated charge piping
Garrett GT3076R turbocharger (other options available)
Tial 38MM MVS wastegates (2)
Tial 50MM BOV
T bolt clamps
3 ply silicon couplers
AFI Oil feed/drain kit
All necessary misc fittings, clamps, and hardware

separately i have purchased : aem ems 2 / aem wideband/02 and boost gauges / fuel pump / 800cc injectors / tapped oil pan / pod for the gauges / map sensor / golden eagle vaccum manifold for my tru boost and vaccum lines /

and after speaking with someone from afi they had said that they recently have just installed a kit in hours let alone the 5-6 days i should have to install it with a very skilled mechanic who builds hondas often.

edit** i will not be driving the car after it is installed, it will be on a trailer taken to a very skilled tuner named dave blundell.

Your setting yourself up for major disappointment if you plan on rushing an install. I've been there and learned ALOT from it, take my advice and slow down and don't rush it.
