There will always be something that comes up. I still remember making countless trips to the store for the little stuff no one thinks of or remembers when they are installing a turbo setup.

Oh and definitely buy the Doolots performance A/C relocation kit. You can also begin to move the harness over to the passenger side fender. The manifold touches it when installed.

Things I wish I had done when I first installed my turbo kit (aka learned the hard way)

- Used ARP exhaust manifold studs and Nord-Lock washers when bolting the manifold to the head (sheered off 4 manifold bolts)

- Used Nord-Lock locking washers on the bolts that hold the turbo to the manifold (turbo bolts backed out and gasket blew)

- Relocated my fuse box ahead of time (instead of melting part of it)

- Bought the passenger side AC relocate kit instead of the kit that routes behind the motor (melted the AC lines)

- Shielded the heater control valve and hoses (instead of melting them)

- Upgraded my radiator (instead of overheating on a trip from Denver to Cali)

- Upgraded my radiator fans (to help from overheating)

- Installed an oil cooler (to help from overheating)

* My battery relocated to the trunk prior to turbo install otherwise I'm sure it would have melted like everything else

* My turbo kit has been in and out of the car 3 times in the last year due to all the issues listed above....good luck

i had just messaged the AFI sales account on honda tech and he had said that the battery relocate is not really needed but recommended. along with some small tinkering and relocating of small things just as any turbo kit.. but again looking for input of what else you guys think i should buy to keep it easier on me so i have these things there when i need them.

Your setting yourself up for major disappointment if you plan on rushing an install. I've been there and learned ALOT from it, take my advice and slow down and don't rush it.
Yup, same here. I rushed into it and wanted it done so fast I ended up having to take it back to the shop again. Re-schedule your tune 2-3 weeks after you plan on having the turbo installed. Already gonna tell you now, everything is NOT going to go as planned.

OK here's some stuff that can be done while ur turbo kit arrives....

Relocate the harness to the fender. I bought some clips from Honda to mount it and also had to extend the wire for cleaner look.

Turn the fusebox. I made some brackets from a sheet of Aluminum.

Relocate the battery to the trunk. I bought a complete relocation kit from Summit Racing for $85 and it included everything necessary.

Buy the full blown vtec oil pressure block off bolt. Its a must with this manifold.

Highly recommend buying atleast some slim fans for clearance issues with the IC piping.

Another thing I'd recommend is getting some push lock fittings for the wastegates. Tempest Racing makes a really nice kit. This is how i ran my lines....
