Long road trips and boost
I drove my turbocharged S from Norway to Nürburgring in Germany last summer. The trip was totally 3500km/~2200 miles. I has just some basic tools with me like the most used wrenches, some screwdrivers, duct tape etc to perform the most simple roadside repairs if necessary. The only parts I had with me was spark plugs and a set of coil packs. I actually got to use the coil packs, as the car died just after getting out of a 1 hour dead stop traffic jam. I assume the coil packs overheated, as it was more than 30 degrees celsius outside, and the heat of the turbo etc under the hood.
I'm going back to Nürburgring this year.

Absolutely! It was loads of fun.
From cruising 80 mph to some higher speeds. We did 169 mph top down on the Autobahn on a stretch without speed limit. Exciting to have done it, but the car starting feeling unstable. So I let go of the throttle. I also got a few laps on the Nürburgring Nordschleife of course. The last touches on the car was done 4 hours before leaving to Germany, so I was a bit worried. But the trip went well!

Ive logged about six 4+ hour road trips. Some have been the same day ( 8 hours of non stop driving to and from a work for a special circumstance) ive had zero issues. The only time i noticed a problem was when it was 95+ degrees outside and traffic got a little bad and the car started to heat soak. I lost a/c and the car started bog. My water temps never got above 3 bars though. I have a supercharger set up with an upgraded heat exchanger that blocks my whole front bumper opening. Im also on stock fans. When traffic started to flow again everything returned to normal. Also happened to me cruising at like 55 on a super hot ass day with a big truck in front of me. Once i passed the truck and go back up to 70 ish everything went back to normal including my super cold a/c
Hope this helps in someway.
Proper installation of the kit (heat protection for important components or relocation of them) I don't see an issue with it. The longest trip I take every year is to the North Carolina Outer Banks which is about 6 hours from me. The S in stock form has done this trip twice and I plan on taking it a time or two when its boosted as well. Don't build the car and be afraid to drive it!

In regard of time and miles, the longest day we had of driving on the trip last year was from the Netherlands through Germany and Denmark to Sweden on our way home (avoided ferries as I can't get on the deck at most of them). We drove all the way non stop except for fuel stops and a quick BigMac. In totalt about 11 hours without any real rest for me or the car. The only stop more than 5 minutes was the food stop at McDonalds, which was around 30 minutes.
Bring:
Tool bag (wrenches, ratchets, sockets, screwdrivers) - illestrolla mentioned extra nut & bolts
Gallon of coolant or (distilled) water
Couple of qts of oil
Mechanic gloves (in case you have to touch hot parts)
Duct tape
Make sure you have AAA
You'll be fine and every stop for gas make sure you pop the hood and give it a once-over.
