2NRWRNCH, what the hell are you guys doing? Whats with the tin foil? I have a 4" down pipe and have 0 problems with heat any where. You have to move the vtec wires out of the way and zip tie them to the vtec solenoid itself. Maybe before you start ragging on LoveFab's kit you should take a step back and look at your install job . I did mine myself with NO instructions also.
This is one of two heat shields that I made, the other you can see in the first pic just to the left of the turbo itself covering a small wire loom. The diamond plate was used to make the original shield than pounded flat to be used as a pattern.
Here is the bracket I made to get the fuse box as close to the fender as possible.
Once again, not trying to offend anyone but the speedtape was because the rubber started to melt around the AC lines, the side of the fuse box got scared from heat, and the wiring loom at the base of the strut tower started to melt. All that on a 42 mile drive. The install was just like the GT1 picture on the Lovefab web site except Cody has changed the location of the oil filter like the one you have and the BOV is different. The heat shield is 18 gauge polished stainless, the top was just skuffed for fun after modifying it to protect the Vtech solenoid. It will be polished this week.
You have ceramic coated your piping and the turbine sections of your housing or something. That helped a lot with the heating issues but is something that cost money that not all customers are willing to pay. Plus you did a similar heat shield without the top.
You moved the fuse box, got a smaller battery, customised a bracket for your fuse box and heat shield, bent your A/C lines way far away, ceramic coated your housing and downpipe, and relocated your vtech wiring. All this you did on your own with no instructions? Did you drive over and see one of Cody's kits installed? All 2NRWERKS has had to go off of was a picture on the web site.
All the materials were provided and none of these modifications had to be done for my Speedcraft setup or the inline pros.
Cody has been contacted several times about this and did send a 3in down pipe that fits better than the 4 in. The 4in would not work without serious issues. This is all probably because it was one of the first of the new style kit. On the 3in the V band flange had to be heated to fit.
The customer is still waiting for the air filter and the pipe that connects it to the turbo.
Your engine bay does look nice and if it takes ceramic coating or a heat shield to keep temps down, why doesn't it come with that done?
Unfortunately for this initial kit it was obviously the same quality as the one you recieved. 2NRWERKS should have pulled it off and sent it back when they realized how bad it was but the customer did have it for several months prior to the install and he wanted it to work. Thus all the problems.

This is a picture off ot the Lovefab web site.
As stated above either that setup has never been run or the turbine housing and the down pipe have been coated.
They don't look anything like the piping that is on the 2RNWERKS. Also look at the differences between the picture and ex-eclipse's setup, i.e. battery, water line, oil filter, AC lines, fuse box,ect......
LOL looking at that picture I'd say the only thing Lovefab on that car is the mani and downpipe. The IC piping is totally differant and the turbo has no water lines which means it's not a garrett bb.
Scorpion, I think that may be Spoolin's setup b/c he converted from the UR kit to the lovefab stuff, just like me. THat also looks like the same turbo I have, a t3/t04 60-1. SO, it is not a bb turbo. Also, the BOV is the HKS SS which came with the UR kit.
