low boost supercharger water/meth inj
Hi Guys
With my hks supercharger running a disappointing 7-8 psi will I gain any power adding a water/meth injection kit? There is no option with this charger to increase boost/pulley change just play with the fuel and timing maps. Will probably fit anyway in readiness for some higher boost option. Any experience advice welcome. The car is bone stock AP1 fly by wire with decat and very loud q300 invidia,

Sure, but it wont be ground breaking. I don't know where your timing map is now, but at 7-8 psi you can easily run the factory NA timing advance, so there will be some delta there depending on where yoru timing is currently, and then of course you will always pick up a little from the cooler denser charge cooling it provides. Could be anywhere from 10-30whp likely depending on what the status is of your current timing and typical IAT you run at.

If you do it, post a before after dyno if you could. Should be easy, just install the kit but do some runs without it for a baseline and then turn the system on and tune it and do those runs. Not much in the way of low boost supercharger water/meth kit dyno post so would be a welcomed one for many im sure. I'm a pretty big proponent of water/meth injection since its so versatile and not everyone has access or can justify running E85 or race gas on the street. The cooling charge density from the water cant be matched from those fuels anyway, so in some was its superior.

thanks junky Pulled some timing and have been working my way back to NA timing. Will now sort a NA map with 4k vtec upload that to my car and work my way from there. Could have saved a lot of time but learning is part of the fun. Will try to post some maps before and after W/M injection but im not home until Dec so not soon Cheers Shippy

The info available is vague at best on this kit. Ive never seen more than 8psi on my install. This equates to approx. 310-315.inline with expectations
Surely 10psi should be higher? 340?
The evasive car is ap2 we don't get in uk. their original pulley was I believe 120mm then changed to 110mm. the 110mm pulley hits max charger speed 110k at approx. 8500rpm engine rpm inline with ap2 redline at 8400. with a 120mm pulley ap1 (uk) cars hit max supercharger speed of 110000 at approx. 9200 inline with their redline. if my info is correct there is no pulley change possible for both cars as they both are maxed out on SC rpm 110k. I don't get back to uk until dec. so cant access car until then.
The other question is where are the dyno graphs of the 500-1000 rpm upto redline? Do they fall away drastically cause the compressor is under size?
Be great to know if my info is right or wrong
thanks all so far
