Default Mac boost solenoid 4 port

Hi,

I've searched s2ki forums for this question and found some different answers... So for once and for all:

The mac boost solenoid comes with 2 wires, I know the polarity doesn't matter.

option 1
1 wire to 12v +
1 wire to ecu

option 2
1 wire to ecu
1 wire to ground

Does the ecu PWM pin power the solenoid (option 2), or interrupt the ground (option 1)?

On the aem v2, the pwm pin is D16 by the way

Thanks

I'm option 2 on hondata flashpro. B16 pin. However I'm having sensitivity problems with my 4-port hondata boost solenoid. Still have not troubleshoot what the exact problem is. I can't seem to Target anything between 12 PSI and 20 psi no matter what frequency or boost duty cycle I set it at. Actually I could Target boost within those parameters but only if I set the frequency to 16 Hz. However this would cause my boost to spool 500-1000rpm slower. Let me know if you have any success with your 4-port solenoid.

Does anyone know if this works the same for AEM v2?

The EMS powers the solenoid via pin d16, and the other wire goes to ground?

ECU powers the solenoid, other wire is a ground.

i know it might be more work to do this, but try asking on Jeff Evans web forum. he usually responds in a timely manner and is very knowledgeable in the honda / s2000 world.
