Angry Mahle s2k pistons

Well after many phone calls and alot of digging I finnaly tracked down the guy who Is running the project over at mahle to make off the shelf pistons for are car. They will come in a couple of different sizes.

Part #'s are as follows:
S2K181425P11: 8.9:1, F20C1, Ø87.00
S2K181435P11: 8.9:1, F20C1, Ø87.25
S2K181425P07: 9.5:1, F20C1, Ø87.00
S2K181435P07: 9.5:1, F20C1, Ø87.25

You can take these part #'s and call any distributor that sales mahle pistons and give them the part number to call mahle to get a price as mahle has not even realeased the part #'s yet. I asked the distributer If I could get a better price If I can find a few more people to buy a set and he said sure! I dont know what the said price will be but It will be lower than what i was quoted.

Also if there Is any sponsors that sell mahle products please chime in.

Brandon @ mahle said that if the cylinder walls are not scratched or pitted that you do not have to bore the cylinders and this is the reason that they offer stock bore psitons. But I have also talked to tom @ inlinepro and they say that you need to hone the cylinder walls.

if the cylinder walls arent messed up there really is no need to do anything. I have built quite a few h22's with stock bores with out issue.

I am working with my local machine shop to get all this figured out. They are working on getting the stones needed for this.

Yeah you don't have to hone them if there is nothing wrong with the bores.

hi guys --

We have the Mahle pistons available (we have part no. S2K181425P07 already on order, eta is May 31). We also can hone the blocks to the 87.25 bore if needed.

The 87.0mm set is meant to be used in a brand new block, or a block that does not have scratches, is not ovalized, and still has a suitable cross hatch left.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

regards,
-- Chris
