The good old o-rings but used copper instead of steel wire this time because of the MLS gasket and steel cylinders. Just to add some extra pressure.

Darton do this on the 50psi+ engines, maybe overkill for me but easy to do when the engine is stripped.
Copper wire is all I've ever seen used with o-ringed blocks.
Search for piano strings, that´s what most people use when they go steel wire. And again, most common with iron blocks.

The NA pistons are 4032 alloy, they are not suited to boost, they also come with tapered pins, which arent strong enough for boost.

With an ap1 crank +6cc will get you 11.5:1, with ap2 crank 12.5:1

Glad those parts worked out for you!

I have a set of the custom short pistons here I need to get rid of if you know anyone 87.25mm bore for ap1 rods/ap2 crank. Comes with light weight pins and oem honda rings.
What would that make the CR? I'm interested.

Thanks. That CR is too high for my supercharged racecar.

yea, I use the -7cc pistons in most supercharged cars, that gets you about 9.5:1 with a 2 liter and a stock head, If you mill 0.015" off the head you'll be up at about 10.25-10.5:1

Jason, you mentioned the FRM thickness a while ago, 2mm? Biggest over bore on the Mahle´s?

I bored a block to see where the FRM completely ran out and got into the aluminum.. that was at 89.91mm

I imagine you'd be ok at 88.. no idea how thick frm needs to be to still maintain its strength

When I catch em during a production run I can get any other bore size made for a small upcharge.

I did just get in a set of 87.5mm +6cc pistons for stock, and I still have the custom 87.25mm short pistons at +6cc

Bump for answers. These pistons are listed at 8.9 compression for a f20c and 9.6 for a f22c but what about if used with an k24 crank in a f20. I'm guessing it will be well over 10.0:1 compression?
