hi guys --

We have the Mahle pistons available (we have part no. S2K181425P07 already on order, eta is May 31). We also can hone the blocks to the 87.25 bore if needed.

The 87.0mm set is meant to be used in a brand new block, or a block that does not have scratches, is not ovalized, and still has a suitable cross hatch left.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

I apologize in advance for this noob question but will these pistons work with the stock rods?

The part #'s listed are only for the F20c, is it safe to assume the pistons are for BOTH motors?

they are completely interchangeable. Here is a chart of all the combinations.

The ratios highlighted in yellow are whats officially available. The un-highlighted ratios are what that piston would be in the other motor.

It's still 87.00, 87.25 for each one right?

Thanks, that helps.

Yes, 87 and 87.25

If you are big turbo and need ~0.005" pw clearance then std size will probably work fine, if you want anything less than 0.004" then go with 0.25mm oversize. Both my blocks (one pretty beat up, one really good) came out a little to big for the NA pistons. Mine came out to 0.0035" which Mahle says is too much, however i dont notice any piston slap.

The low compression pistons are 2618 alloy, which will work good with more p-w clearance, the high compression pistons are 4032 which dont expand nearly as much.
