Mahle s2k pistons
if you were keeping it NA i'd say the brand new block would work fine.. but for a turbo motor, there's no way.
It costs me around $300 to have the block bored/honed.. IMHO thats the way to go.. no guessing there.

If you want to send the mess to me i can get my guys to do if the price is that much different...
That's very cool of you.
I'm putting out some local feelers to see what locals have as far as scuffed bore blocks go.
Do you think pretty much any scuffed bore block could be cleaned up for the .025 oversize pistons? I figure that if it is not deeper than .010-.013 I should be ok..
I just have no idea how deep the "usual" scuffed bore is.
I'm interested in going this route as well. I want to make sure I am understanding this. So for f/i 500 hp I should just have the block rehoned and go with the stock size low comp piston. I have a few vertical scrathes and that should be ok, right. You do not reccomend a rebore and going with the overized piston for a turbo set up.

What about a brand new stock bore motor?
I was planning on buying a new complete shortblock from Honda and just pulling the pistons and swaping in a set of these..

SOS said above that it should be fine on the 87 mahle piston. call chris and ask him to make sure turbo application will be fine.
hi guys --
We offer the pistons in both the factory size (87mm) and .25mm over bore (87.25). 87.25mm would be used when the bore needs to be honed due to scratches. We recommend that most used blocks use the 87.25mm size unless either the block is new, has no scratches, and the bore is in perfect circle.
They are offered in 8.9:1 and 9.5:1 static compression. We try to keep the 9.5:1 static compression model in stock.
