Don't you think Mase would have included it on all kits if it was necessary?

3 quick questions... For interested parties...

1) How is the Precision warranty affected (if at all) by not running coolant through the cartridge?

2) How close is the downpipe to the AC lines? Any insulation required (noticed the head shield does not cover the AC lines near the passenger strut tower)?

3) If the OPS "dummy" sensor had been disabled, how will you know if you have low oil pressure? There is no sensor to output to the EMS (stock configuration, or course)...

It may have been to keep the cost down.

at least on the super-hot full race manifold

My Jet-Hot coating lasted 2 years... And was still going strong / looking good when I sold the car. I think it all depends on who is doing the coating... I ran 1 year on .5BAR and almost a year at 15psi (last few weeks were ~20psi), with no issues.

I believe Mase has said he will coat them, if the buyer is willing to pay for it / wait for it. Its not standard on the kit, though.

I also think it's the design of the manifold that might make one hotter than the other. I had the swaintech white lightning coat, which was supposed to be the cream of the crop of coatings. but its still flaked at my collector.

Yours definitely looks snazzy, it probably ran a little cooler. I'm thinking the location and design of Mase's kit may not have any coating failures.

Heating coating is always an option to a turbo manifold and never a standard. I would recommend coating the manifold no matter what other heatshields are used. I can pretty much guarantee you that the underside of the hood is going to get damn hot from the turbo kit. Doesn't really matter which turbo kit.

Not all of them. The Swain Tech White Lightening coating is the most durable coating I've experienced. Over 15k on my manifold and aside from some slight discoloration it is perfect. Another benefit of this coating is you can use high temperature paint and paint over the white coating if you want a different color.
