maybe because I was at 19psi pushing a GT30R it just got too hot. I had Swain's white Lightning that failed on my FR manifold
Seeing as how I am pushing ~26psi and the coating is not failing...I'd say its a pretty damn good coating. Next.

I am sure there are a number of factors involved here....to include the car itself. I had coatings from HPC and Jet-Hot fail on my S2000 (Full-Race manifold). When I got my Evo, I read a lot of positive reports about Swain Tech. I sent my manifold to them and had it coating. It is holding up great. I know of many Evos making 650+awhp with this coating and it hasn't failed.

Again, many factors could contribute to whether any coating holds up.

EDIT: Sorry
Local member running a FR gt35 had his chip off slightly in less than a few thousand miles, if not few hundred!

The problem could certainly be with the manifold itself.

3 quick questions... For interested parties...

1) How is the Precision warranty affected (if at all) by not running coolant through the cartridge?

2) How close is the downpipe to the AC lines? Any insulation required (noticed the head shield does not cover the AC lines near the passenger strut tower)?

3) If the OPS "dummy" sensor had been disabled, how will you know if you have low oil pressure? There is no sensor to output to the EMS (stock configuration, or course)...
