I'm going to work on the grounds tomorrow I think, I have a couple more questions.

W/pics this time, lol.

What does this connect to? It's not the starter b/c thats already connected. It's the small terminal in the center of the picture.

Next on the list is this sensor that is on the front of the motor. I can't remember if it's my crank sensor or not, but where does the bracket attach to?

Thanks !

The first connector is missing the actual clip on it, could be pulled out of the knock sensor maybe?

The second one bolts onto the last 12mm stud holding the intake manifold to the head.

Adam the first picture you definitely lost the clip that surrounds the terminal. The clip would help determine where it goes.

The second picture appears to be the clip that mounts right beside the coolant bleeder on the intake manifold.

Yup, what those guys said. And yes, that is your crank sensor plug.

What color is that single wire? Knock should be red w/ blue stripe.

I'll check tomorrow.

Thanks guys

I ALWAYS work on my own stuff. Had a buddy let me use his garage, and a few friends showed up, we started working, it was all I could do to keep the nuts/bolts/etc in the right bags so I didn't loose anything.

They ended up breaking my knock sensor AND my TPS sensor pulling the motor.

Regardless, lessoned learned, do it yourself. Hate not knowing where something goes, b/c I didn't take it off the first time.

More pics of the mystery wire, lol.

It's not the knock sensor, it's black w/red stripe.

Here is the harness it's coming off of, connected to the alternator, it's the loom pointing downward.

Also, touching up on the ground issue.

1st ground, the one coming directly from the drivers side wheel under/near the abs stuff connects to the block in one of the 2, 6mm holes.

2nd ground coming off engine harness connects to the back of the head.

3rd ground, the one that is just a wire with 2 ends, one end connects to the 2nd, 6mm hole on the engine block, and then the other end goes where?

Thanks all!!

Third one goes to the subframe right beside the motor mount on the drivers side.

Hmm, connection for the a/c compressor thermal protector?
