"Missing Link" vs Map Defensor

"Missing Link" vs Map Defensor
If my car was originally tuned with the "Missing Link"(Spring & Ball) would it make a difference if I switched over to the Map Defensor? It seems that when I install the Map Defensor my car throws a CEL which is saying the Primary O2 Sensor is bad? Are these 2 devices that different in how they mask the boost from the ECU?
