My corolla runs again! AP86
Thank you sir, I am pretty happy how it turned out. Having access to a mill again is handy, I cant believe I managed to not f@#k up the nice sharp edge when I sanded it all down. Another pic, I hung the fenders/hood/bumper to see how I'm gonna mount the intercooler. Gonna have to put some effort into making the bumper not sag but it will be ok. The intercooler is absolutely huge and its kinda disappointing that the bumper hides how big/awesome it is.
Welded the rest of the turbo manifold, just need the wastegates to show up with the flanges and I can totally finish it. Also made a remote bleeder deal for the coolant, the radiator sits really low and the head is much higher in the bay than a 4ag. I'm planning on running the coolant line from the intake manifold that would normally run through the throttle body into the thing I made. Question though, which way does the water flow through the throttle body? Does it go from the head into the throttle or come from the water pump housing into the throttle? I welded a divider inside the can so I can just plumb both lines into it and air wouldn't run right back into the other fitting, but I would just rather make one higher than the other also.

Kinda lost interest in the car, but this last weekend I started working on it again. Finished up mounting the radiator and made the an lines as well as all the heater hoses. Just gotta make the lines from the intake manifold and radiator to the filler deal and I can fill it up. Also put the intake manifold back on for good and just gotta tighten the fuel lines again and I can pressurize it again to make sure nothings loose. I ordered a drain flange for the turbo that I overlooked and if that gets here this week I might try and fire it up and warm it up, see what it sounds like with the manifold/turbo on there.

Thought I was all done with the radiator today but just couldnt bring myself to mount the fan with those push through things. So I cut a piece of aluminum, bent the edges and used the plasma to cut the hole out in the center. Now I gotta go get some threaded rivets or rivnuts or whatever from tacoma screw tomorrow and I'll bolt the fan to the shroud and the shroud to radiator and it will be done.

Didnt realize its been so long since I updated this but ill post other stuff I've got done.
Cut the vband off, turned it down it fit inside a 4" vband and welded it all back to the turbo. No pics of the inside of it right now but its nice to be 4" right off the turbo, made the downpipe stupid easy.

test fitted some 315's, would love to put these on.

So hopefully warm it up this weekend and make sure nothing leaks, change the oil and try and get ready for the dyno sooner than later. Its really not that far off, just need to keep at it and not forget about it for 6 months again.

It's a afco scirocco style, they make them with same side outlets for either side. This one is upside down, I didn't see there was a flipped around version till after I got mine.
