Default My idle is weird

Normally my idle is set about 900-1000 rpm. The past few days, after driving hard or just a long cruise, when I stop at a light the car idles as high as 2200. I am running an EMS FYI. The car is fine after it sits for awhile. My coolant was low I realized. Would this cause this to happen? A lil confused over here.

Have you re-bled the coolant?

I am pretty sure it wasn't your coolant that caused the motor to idle high. The reason I say this is because I had completely bled my coolant system before the car was tuned and the car would still idle high from time to time usually around 1900rpm and would settle down on its own. I was running a AEM EMS 1012 unit.

Mine does this but I have since just lived with it because I don't have a clue why it happens. Mine does it if I blip the throttle and it will hold somewhere around 2000 rpm until I barely touch the throttle again. Almost acts like an old style choke.
Anyone have a clue to fixing this?

I saw that on another car as well. Mine has never done it. I'm not sure what caused it, but when the car was restarted, it went away. Could it be an issue with the earlier stock MAP sensors? I have a MY04 and am now using a GM 3 bar. I never did have the problem even with the stock 04 map sensor...

I dunno, but I have a GM 3bar and it still happens, but as the others have said it goes away after you turn it off. I just wanted to make sure it isn't a sign of something going wrong. Thanks fellas. Off-topic, is anyone coming to NOPI this weekend here in the ATL or do I have to win it again on my own

Rashed, I haven't re-bled the coolant. I topped it off, but the high idle remains.

You sure nothing is stuck mechanically? Your TB gummed up?
