My LoveFab experience

I think that's the best thing Cody; keep the kits one-off/custom made for each car and you will know it was installed right and 90% of your problems will disappear.

The GT1 kit does make power, however I consider the purchase of my kit the biggest mistake I have ever made. I spent so many days and nights bummed out because I could not drive my car to the track or auto cross or just go for a cruise on a nice sunny day (not to many of those in western Michigan). I sold the car as is with the turbo kit on it and new owner has had nothing but problems. I felt bad selling him a car that I knew would brake within one week of his ownership but I pretty much gave the car away.
Oh, someone had mentioned fabricating your own parts for a kit is unacceptable. How about this... the LoveFab IC piping from the IC to the throtle body was totaly wrong angles and way to long which made the inner fender liner rub on the tire and the front bumper would not bolt back on due to the splash guard being shoved back about 4 inches. Before anyone tries to make me look stupid in LoveFab's defense (kane) I did have the correct pipe in the correct direction. I know this because it was the only pipe that had all the bends welded together. The two other pipes that were 2 1/2" went on the compressor side and the only other pipe with the bov on it in 3" went to the tb. So since it didn't fit, not even close, and already knowing how long it takes Cody to find a ups store I made my own IC piping, with the AEM INTAKE I TOOK OFF TO PUT THIS P.O.S. TUBO KIT ON!!! How sad is that?
Enough said, I tried to warn people months ago and just got bashed. Here we go again!

I'm not Cody, nor do I work for him, but I can answer most of your questions...
1. He is a small shop, and that warrenty is better than most larger companies.
2. Well since Jakub lives in Dubia I don't think it matters who he ships with. How many things have you send overseas?
3. Why does Apple want broken iPods back? If there is warrenty on a product, just about every company I know wants the broke product back to inspect for customer neglect.
4. This one I'm no help on, I can't imagine why anyone would do this and it's just plain bad business.
5. Not going to argue, but if the box was beat up, then a small stress fracture in the weld would definitly expand and crack when heated up. Don't know if that's the case or not, but it's a possiblity
6. I have yet to have a problem with my kit and he sent me quality products...I think the money I spent on teh kit was well worth it.

1. I have to disagree with this one. Its about how far the owner of whatever company is willing to go to please the customer. Take for example bulletproof automotive... Ive seen a thread on here with one of their customers having problems with their Amuse exhaust (I think a rattle), and bulletproof replaced it. (I know bulletproof doesn't fabricate but its the fact of customer service) If it was my company and I was doing one of the first kits, I'd want to make sure I took care of my customer in the best possible way by providing great customer service and high quality products. This was not done and is why it has come up now and backfired.
2. That makes sense, I thought he was in the US. I was confused on that haha.
3. & 4. The reason I made this statement as well: (Post on page one by wtbs2k)
"I am disappointed at Cody as well.
When i received my kit, One piece of the charge pipes was polished with lots of deep scratches (used) on it while others are not. I emailed him and told him about it, he basicly told me i have to send it back and wait if i want another one. I waited for over 3 months for the kit , and didn't want to waste more time on it, so i had to get them power coated."
5. Yeah i can see that, but that seems a little far fetched... IF the head shield was packaged correctly.
6. Well thats good, but on this thread, the quality of the product is not too attractive which makes me begin to stray from LoveFab.
Just my opinion on this whole thing.
I recall Cody doing tons of R and D on this kit. When he first posted about it years ago, everyone was chomping at the bit to get one. His torque curve was so flat and we all ooed and ah'd over his power at low boost. I know that there are a few unsatisfied people out there, but I am very impressed that a man Cody's age has the skills he has and is able to run a business as well as he does. I don't think we realize how hard it is to be in a shop and have to make these parts, send them out, and deal with everyone who has problems/questions about their car, while still trying to do things in a timely manner. I guess I am just saying I'm glad I'm not in Cody's shoes, because when I was 23 or 24 there is no way I could've handled the responsibility that he does. I feel sorry for all who've had rough times with the kit, and I too have had mine with shipping wait times and missing pieces. I don't know the point of my post, but I have spoken to Cody so many times on the phone, I feel like I know him pretty well, and I know he is trying his hardest to make the best product he can and please everyone he can. I think Cody is a good person and I don't think he woudl try to screw anyone over. Just my 2 cents and I don't even think they made any sense. G'day
really shocked to see what you wrote (ex-eclipse), I know you had a few issues with your car, but damn. Cody went way over what I would have done for you. It is amazing to read some of what you guys wrote. I love Cody like a brother and I constantly see him fixing things that I think he should not do. I am Cody's biggest critic on his work, and I agree that some of the kits where not up to my standard at least. I have seen many other kits and can tell you that Lovefab work is top notch, and makes real power. My theory is, if you wanted a factory turbo car you should have bought one. If you turbo a non turbo car, there will be work to be done. If you cant do it, then pay someone that can. And that is true with any kit out there.

If he is such a critic on his work then why would he even try to ship this to a customer?
