I'm gonna just see how the grams 265 does. If it messes up, it's easy to get at it on the club racer

more than enough people have complained about their pumps. Fuel pumps are cheap enough just go with a walbro/fullblown from the start & get the sos wiring kit.

I agree with s.hasan, it's worth the upgrade right from the start. In hindsight, I wish I would have spent the little bit extra and upgraded. My installer has done quite a few of these kits on both S2000s and Civics, and he has seen a few Grams pumps not even work brand new out of the box.

I'm looking for a pump for my new setup too and based on what s.hasan and others have said, the walbro 450 with e85 capability is the way I'm going. Wired with sos kit of course. Good for almost anything I will throw at it now and in the future.

do you convert to a return line fuel system? SOS told me you shouldn't run the walbro 450 without the return line.

The SoS website does recommend a return system for anything above what a 320 pump flows... I'm sure you could keep it stock and make it work for a while but I'm going to do it once and do it right instead of running something at its limit and waiting for it to fail.

Default Kraftwerks problems, I’m contacting the CA OAG

Hi, Machine, I’m getting major runaround from Kraftwerks AND Rotrex about my head unit that failed mechanism seized, impeller snapped at shaft) at 10K miles, 2.5 years after I bought it. Initially they said the blower is warranty is 3 years, “starting on date of manufacture,” which, in my case, is “typically 6 months before they’re sold.” For a 1990 Miata? WOW. Really?
They refused to reveal a contact name at Rotrex, so I found An e-mail contact online and sent Rotrex a note inquiring of their warranty. Things got weirder after that. They also offered to selll me a replacement @ 56% off the base price. Under warranty!
Did you receive a warranty document in your product delivery? I never did.
YouTube has posts from several people who also had Rotrex failures, offered discounted replacements under warranty. No one replies to my e-mails after I requested a copy of written the 3-year warranty.
Please contact me, I have some questions, if you don’t mind. My e-mail contact is available in my profile. I’ll be contacting the CA Office of the Attorney General to lodge a complaint against Kraftwerks and Rotrex.

Wow this comment comes at a convenient time for me, as I had the same issue, except at about 5k miles and only 1.5 years after I bought it. They replaced my first unit without any real worries, but now are going on 2 weeks without correspondence to any of my emails to their customer service team regarding the 2nd C38-91 I’ve had fail on me.

Did you get a free replacement blower from Kraftwerks? Or did they sell you a replacement “at 56% off the standard head-unit price?”
Was your original unit covered by a warranty (if so, what is duration of the warranty)?
Kraftwerks is really jerking me—and lots of other people—around big-time.
Send me an e-mail, it’s posted at my profile somewhere—I enabled that feature to contact people who have problems with Kraftwerks. I can help you file a complaint with the California Atyorney General’s office AND Danish consumer protection agency.
Good luck getting them to contact you, they’re notorious for ignoring customers and their problems.

A friend of mine, user Habitforming who doesn't post on here anymore.... his kit did ok for several years with low miles and no track runs but it also failed recently. I know he was a proponent of the kit but not anymore.

I think before you move too fast, make a post on the KW kit on Facebook and gauge what people's experiences are. I will be honest though....seems like almost anyone who has installed or used this kit has had trouble except LHT Performance (based in Florida) cars. May be worth the time to call the owner and ask him his thoughts...
