I'm curious about the size selection. The R888R 305/35-18 is 26.5" tall. It also comes in a 315/30 that is 25.5" tall and a 335/30 that is 25.9" tall.

Why pick the narrower, taller tire?

Note: For reference, Robert Thorne's Big Bad Wolf S2000 uses the 315/30's in the front and the 335/30s in the rear.

The first time cutting was a major scare. It all comes easier after that lol.

I feel that the height will be more advantageous than the width gain of the 335's. I also didn't think I could fit the 335's with these overfenders and I didn't like the look of the other ones out there. After spacing the wheel out some with this setup I think there is a chance I could fit them though. I may entertain the 335's next time if these don't work as planned. I also plan to run a 26" slick here before too long and I figured if I could clear the fenders with these tires then the slicks should be fine as well.

For the 1/2 mile, would the TQ drag tire in 315/25-18, 26.8" tall, or 315/35-17, 25.6" tall be an option? There is also a 345/40-17, but with 13.4" tread width and 27.7" diameter, it would require the fender to be built for the tire and probably a gear change.

Again, I wanted to make sure I had tire clearance for a 26" tall slick, I feel the tire I went with is the best option for street and half stuff.

That's a hell of a wide tire on there. Looks sick!

My name is Stuart and I have a problem. Decided the C125 display was a little too small for the designs I was wanting to use, so managed to make a C127 fit!

Then this little guy showed up and I can’t ****ing wait to try it out. Should be a game changer on the track!

Quaife 69G Extreme Heavy Duty spur gear set. Geared to right at ~207mph in 6th for the 1/2 mile stuff.

Is that wire for the level a pressure sensor? Will you be doing no-clutch WOT upshifts and no-clutch, no-throttle downshifts?

There was an interesting thread a few years back on straight cut vs. helical gears.

You are building one of the most impressive S2000s. Have you tried tuning with C85?

the wire off the knob is the load cell, basically does what you were saying. It will trigger the Motec to do the ignition cut on up shifts for WOT shifts and no clutch.
