my turbo is toast!

That being said I would like to have full spool by 4500 rpm, power goals 450 for street/pump gas 94 octane, 600ish for 114 octane.Keeping the whatever brand is better than this brand jabber out of it, what would you recommend for a turbo. The quicker it spools the better.
What kind of car are you building then? You need a 62mm+ size turbo for that goal if you don't want to max the turbo out on race gas.
So with that being said, the car will see the high boost tune pretty rarely. The reason I say the 6266 is too big is because the one dyno sheet I've seen of it, it looks like it comes in at around 5000. Mind you that was a F22 and countless other variables. But the more I read the more the .82 hotside of a 5862 or 6262 scares me of "choking out" on the twinscroll manifold I have. Do you think it's really going to be that much of a issue at 400 to 500 hp? So the 6266 looks a little more appealing in that aspect. And to boot it I have a buddy with a very lightly used one for sale off his drag civic. It's a gen 2 and has a 1.15 hotside, and I could get it for 1200$.
So I'm trying to weigh my options between the 3 options. 5862 seems like it would be best the best option for my spirited driving and track. 6262 looks like it would pretty much be the same with a couple more HP but 300-500 rpms of more lag? The 6266 gen 2 seems like it would be a little more geared to the drag strip but probably wouldn't be too terrible on the street or track. I'm not opposed to the 6266 I just dont want it to be ultra laggy, 5000+RPM coming out of a corner. Do you think that it would be too much for my needs on low boost? (450 whp)

And well I'm at it, does bigger AR numbers spool faster or slower?

If you're not going to run race gas for any significant amount of time or go for real numbers on the drag strip, stay in the 55mm-58mm range and run the biggest hotside you can. For the street, something like a 5558 or the 5858 would work great for you.

Thanks for the help, I'm new to this turbo stuff so it kind of confuses me. And reading everyones opinion on a forum doesn't help sometimes lol.

Looks like Precision has a new turbo out. The 6062 is available with a divided t4 .84 a/r hotside. And it is in the Gen2 family so it should be a reliable turbo from what I have seen. You could give that a try. The hotside is a little small for a divided housing, but that will allow for a quicker spool. The 60mm compressor will also be able to reach the power level you want without any problems. The 5558 and 5858 are not available as Gen2 turbos last time I checked.

I didn't say it wouldn't work, I said I don't recommend it. Do some research on divided housing setups on F20/F22's. Most people have issues with flow on the top end.
