Default is it necessary to sync wideband to aem?

Right now i have my wideband hooked up but not the the aem ems. Is it necessary to do so? I bought a full setup and the previous owner had it synched.

Thanks

Yea, IIRC, you just need to fiddle with the o2 gain setting until it's spot on with the gauge

Make sure the wideband is grounded to a solid ground otherwise the voltage reading to the ECU will fluctuate and give inaccuracies. Make sure you aren't running non-resistor spark plugs too, that messes with every signal in the damn car

For tuning and loging yes. If your already tuned and don't plan to ever log or mess with the tune then no there is no point.

The WBO2 can be used for O2 feedback... As in, it can be in closed loop ALL THE TIME. I depinned my stock O2 wire at the ECU harness and pinned in my WBO2 feed. I didn't have to adjust anything to make it match the display of my WBO2 and I keep mine in closed loop all the time.
