Need help with building motor for turbo

Default Need help with building motor for turbo

So one of the cylinders on my car is messed up do to the tip of my spark plug breaking and scratching the block i can get it honded but im not sure which piston kit and rods people are running or what kit would be good for me to go with i found one with je pistons and brian crower rods but not sure what do suggest if any of you guys kno of any websites or were i cant start looking i would really appreciate it thanks you very much guys and girls

if all you need is a hone, you dont need anything crazy as the hone wont take the bore out of spec. it will give you an approx 45' crosshatch to seat and wear-in the new rings so they create a sealing surface together.

unless you are shooting for massive 600+hp with reliability, i would go oem and keep on keepin on.

Which part of the cylinder is the damage at? Has a reputable machine shop inspected the cylinders??

I would go with low compression pistons (mahle,cp,etc)pistons must be FRM compatible. eagle rods, arp head bolts, con rod bolts etc.
Google is your friend..Type in f20c/f22c forged pistons/rods..etc.

i htought mahle was the only piston that was confirmed to work with the frm sleeves.

how much power did you/do you want to make?

The damage is at the first cylinder closest to the radiator the compression on the top three pistons was 180 the bad one is 148 and it's on the right and left side if ur lookin in side the cylinder wall from the front of the car and I was planing on taking it to rockville ring and bearing I'm trying to put 550 to 600 hp I'm new to forced induction I use to have an all motor hatch so some of this stuff is new but I appreciate you guys help

if the sleeve can be salvaged, i would go mahle pistons stock everything else. if not, sleeve it and go for broke!
