I missed that you had the FBM studs. The head shouldn't have lifted then, those should be much stronger than the ARP's and I ran 34 psi (~800 whp) on the ARP's with no issues. If I have any issues with my new FBM studs, I'm going to be VERY pissed.

Anyway, somehow air got into the system more than likely. You running OEM HG? Maybe the HG failed in between the cylinder. Have you bored the cylinders any? This will reduce the amount of sealing area between the cylinders.

I'd say the h/g failed, can happen regardless of studs used.

Same here this studs are holding over 40psi and 1000+ HP cars I don't think u got head lift

Or I guess if it pulled treads out of block if they were messed up maybe???

would i get cyl 1-200 cyl 2-215 cyl 3-200 cyl 4 215 if the hg went?..im starting to think the head did lift i'll be pulling the head off tomorrow(6/8).... i did find the freeze out plug it was stuck between the first valve spring and and the headstud

how often are we suppose to torque the fbm studs?

O OK good u found plug and I know that a lot of people retorque them after a few 100miles just to be safe that's what I have always done on any boosted motor on arp studs that is and I'll be doing that on my s2000 motor also

ive had to retorque on arps also when i had my civic wasnt sure about these studs maybe that was the cause
