cool i just realized you're the same person i have been talking to on evo-m Lolso is this the turbo we have been talking about ?
Nice to see you over here. This S300SX is different, its a factory built turbo from BW with a 64.5mm compressor. The one you and I talked about has a custom compressor upgrade.

Only the EFR line are ball bearing/water cooled.
which one would you suggest? I would be looking for about 800-850hp spool is important but i would sacrifice a bit of spool to not have to run 40psi to make those numbers

The 64.5mm could theoretically make power in that range, but would be very near the edge. If you want more reliable power I would go with the custom 66mm because it should be good for ~900hp.

Is that a 4.21 flange ? Or is a 3" stand vband an available option for him to do ?

It comes with the 4.21" and thats what I recommend using. The turbine wheel has a 74mm turbine exducer so when using a 3" modified outlet the expansion area after the outlet would be very minimal which impacts performance. Not only that, but modifying the housings isnt safe and it can lose its burst containment capability. It works fine with the smaller 76m wheels but for the larger 79mm I dont recommend it.

Its also possible to get the 66mm wheel with the smaller 76mm turbine so you can have the housing modified with the 3" outlet, but it just adds to the cost even more.

Garrett also just released a new version of the GT40R call the GTX40/88R. Will be very comparable to the new borg warner turbo and the 6466.

Here is an article I found on it: http://www.enginebasics.com/Advanced.../GTX4088r.html

Ive been waiting for that to come out. The GT40R performance has always been a bit low and Ive never been a fan of the turbo, but the new compressor should do the trick. I think it will be a great alternative to the 6466.

for the price of a super94 (3794) from FP i would probably take that rather than the gtx40r

it seems anything larger than a gtx35## is outclassed by the other competitors
