I have the above clutch/flywheel setup and am very pleased with it...MUCH better over stock...and really feels like the clutch should feel on this car...and it really isn't very heavy at all.

however, sadly I don't have an SC yet
The good news is since you already have a good clutch combo you can go strait to a 7psi pulley when you get the S/C

I have the above combo ready for install once my stock clutch goes out. I'm running a 7 pound pulley on my S/C so the stock should be out in a couple of months. Well that's what I've heard anyway.

since you're going FI i'll move this to FI forum.

from what I've seen, many who have the SC get this:

ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate

Stock OEM clutch disk

Stock throwout bearing

Comptech flywheel or machined/lightened stock flywheel.

The OEM clutch disk seems to work fine if you have the ACT HD PP
BINGO

My Stockl Clutch is OUT! on my New S2k just 3,800 Miles on the ODO!
You are aware that when stopped on a hill it is customary to use the handbrake?

Seriously, if you can wear out a stock clutch in 3800 miles then I doubt any aftermarket clutch will last any longer. You need to address that problem before worrying about which clutch to fry next. Having recently done a clutch change I can't imagine doing one at each oil change.

I think he ment 38,000 miles. I'm guessing anyway since his S is a 2003. Otherwise your right even the aftermarket clutch wont stand a chance.

Excessive launching will fry the S2k stock clutch in a heartbeat. I had mine for 4200 miles before I had to change out because mine was launched hard alot... I moved to the ACT HD Kit and it was night like night and day.
