Default New to FI, ground up custom build

Hi all,

I'd like to preface this with the fact that I am completely new to forced induction, let alone s2000s, and manual cars lol. I'm coming from a 2014 Cayman S with PDK who's engine I half blew up with N/A. $$$$$$$$

Anyways, the Cayman is sold, and the S2k looked like the perfect platform to make an extremely fast drive and arrive track or drag car. I bought the car in Sept, 2004 AP2. Since then I've focused on replacing/doing all maintenance related items, over the next year I will be building into a little street monster. The goal is 550-650 whp. ALL fluids changed, oem pads and calipers for now, the rotors are not OEM, i'm not sure when they were added. Wheels that came with the car have been replaced with WedsSport TC10x for proper tire sizes for more power (and just right now driving) fenders rolled, the works.

Anyways, on to FI related stuff!
Goal: 550ish WHP and reliable street driver. Money is not a big issue, I just don't want to go overboard for minimal differences.

So far:
Action Clutch Stage 5 installed
New AP1 flywheel in place of the old AP2 as it's lighter, installed.

Main things needed:
Ford Rear End 8.8 W/ 1000hp axles - $3450 (when the stock one goes, if necessary)
GTX3582R Gen 2 V-band 0.83 AR - $2383
Schmuck manifold + downpiping - $1800
FullBlown 800hp intercooler - $495
FullBlown 44mm Wastegate - $400
FullBlown BOV - $295
AEM V2 Engine Management - $1483
FullBlown Boost Controller - $85
PLX Gauge and Sensors - $500
FullBlown Fuel Pressure Regulator - $155
ID1300 injectors - $900
walbro 450 fuel pump - $100
Piping - $???
Custom Exhaust - $???

That's the basics I've gotten so far, I will be doing all this in my own garage w/ lift. I have read through tons of posts, but I'd love to hear some actual experience on these items or opinions on my plans specifically, why you might chose a different brand, which turbo and why, etc. Am I blatantly missing something.

Attached is a pic of all the ladies together

Use the search function. But just a general rule of thumb, it requires a LOT more money to go over 500hp, along with not so streetable clutch. I've got some id1300s for sale, btw.

3mm head gasket will only rob you of power, it is not necessary.
ID1300's are good for 600hp I think you need ID1700 for the power you are chasing.
GTX3576R would be ideal for your power goals
Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator (not mounted on rail)
Full Blown Fuel Rail (Large Size)
Scmuk Built Manifold

I came from a 981 Cayman S PDK also. What happened to the engine on yours?

Definitely having more fun modding the S2000 than driving the Porsche around stock. Was hesitant to even own the Porsche outside of the warranty period, much less do any mods.

Stick with the stock head gasket and ditch the 3mm. Also, get some headstuds to clamp the head tighter.

If you're interested, I have some brand new Full Blown L19 headstuds and an 800 hp Inline Pro intercooler I'm selling. Those would be good items for your build. PM me if interested.

he said no to dual pumps... rail, regulator and 1700s would be a waste of $

Obviously I have been searching, hence the started list. No offense to people in here, but S2000 mod money is pennies vs what I was paying on the Porsche, so that's not an issue. I already have a new stage 5 clutch in the car.. traffic blows.

I had catless headers, the Porsche Sport Exhaust, intake filters, plenum, throttle body, and a tune. Springs, modified GT3 front splitter, and a GT4 replica wing too. Clearly a poor tune as my injectors failed, overloaded the cylinders with gas and make them score. (So it wasn't totally blown, but it still cost half the cost of my s2k just to make it drive able again. (That's when I knew it was time to play with cheaper toys.) The PSE + FabSpeed Raceheaders were the most intoxicating car exhaust note I've heard though. That is dearly missed.

Also, thanks everyone for the input so far. I won't actually be purchasing parts until ~October. Just building the list now. Changes made in OP in red based on people's feedback

I'd recommend adding a gaugeArt gauge to your list. I've used PLX and AEM multi-gauges and the gaugeArt handily wins is ease of use/setup/options.
