I just got off the phone with Jackson Racing. I put a deposit down so I could get on the list for the first run of 50 systems (18 people have already plopped down cash to do so).

Ship time has now moved to the middle of January. They're targeting 300 whp for the high boost kit (10 psi). The charger for the S is capable of ~16 lbs. of boost, but would require tuning outside what is supplied with the kit.

The tech I spoke with said that full boost on the charger arrives at 1800 RPM and is linear all the way to redline (I asked for dyno sheets, but those are forthcoming).

While I wouldn't buy a system without seeing the dyno, and possible driving to Jackson to ride in/drive the test mule, this all sounds very promising.

I hope this update helps.

From what I saw the boost curve is still very much like a centrif.

They show a boost curve in this powerpoint on a 6.0L. http://www.w2wpowertrain.com/images_w2w/co...resentation.pps

[QUOTE=S2000_Europe,Nov 17 2006, 11:29 AM] only 300 WHP with 10 psi??? Comptech has 300 whp with 5.5 psi.

A comptech with 10 psi would have more WHP and maybe same TQ than the rotex...

or full boost at 1800 and 10 psi is full boost!!!!!!!!

and linear boost profile on top of that

You shoud call back and get some confirmation on that.

a linear boost profile can be taken two ways

10psi at 1800; 10psi at 3000 ; 10psi at 5000; 10psi at 7000 ....ect

4psi at 2000; 5psi at 3000; 6psi at 4000........ 10psi at 8K (ap2)

both boost profiles are linear.....

for Oscar Jackson. Extensive R&D for good honest to goodness reliable power. I've had two Jackson kits on B16 and B18. Good power increase, clean overall design and reliability to match. Both cars were daily drivers. I took one cross country from Georgia to New Mexico in 23 hours...STRAIGHT. Only stops I made were for gas. I was running 10 psi. No mechanical problems period. Imoressed the hell out of me. Customer/Tech support was top notch and parts replacement was never a problem-there were many times when they sent me parts no questions asked at their expense to ship. So to Jackson Racing. I guess I need to break out all of my old numbers/contacts to start getting info on this setup. Hopefully they come out with a good kit to give us all ontoher option to consider.

Im gonna wait. I had my heart set on the comptech blower, but rode in one, and wasnt impressed. Sure it was faster, but not that fast, and the car didnt have power where it needed it. These promise amazing performance, more to what Im looking for, and those that are UNHAPPY with their centrifugal setups. IMHO, its worth the wait. I would hate to spend 6K for something that didnt 150% satisfy me, which is a common problem with the competch/vortech people. Sure, the potential of the Vortec is great, but for the fun factor, you cant beat a roots style blower, with full boost at 2000rpm...it will completely change the car. Almost like VTEC from idle to redline. Patience is a virtue IMHO.

Oscar setup is not a roots style it is a Rotrex "turbine"
