You shouldn't assume as much. The S2000 motor is pretty stout...but it isn't THAT stout...and there has yet to an S2000 make that kind of power for an extended period of time (say 1 year or more) while being pushed to its limit. You don't simply dyno the car at a certain power level and claim victory. You also don't go and run it a few times and claim victory. Repeated beating over an industry acceptable period of time accepts such claims.

At one point, people also didnt think the stock 2JZ would handle 900-1000 hp either but it does.

We will see over time but I do believe it's very capable to handle 800 hp with no problem.

I don't get what you're arguing about? 701whp was already made...thats over 800 at the crank...so it has been done technically

if i remember correctly, that car never suffered any engine failure, and the only reason the car was down was because it was totaled.

great numbers seth, once you get more fuel its gonna be 600+ easily. As for 2quick, well he is arguing again I see. Nothing new here...Great Numbers though!

Here is a pic of how nice F20C rods are stock, look at the big end. It has a ton of extra material normal B series rods dont. Thick beams too.
