Default Newb question don't flame please

ok, so i know this could be very simple but i was wondering how hard or easy it is to remove the box to get to the air filter. I didn't install the s/c we bought it like this. i look at the box, i see stuff connected, it looks pretty simple but i don't want to mess anything up. reason i am asking is because i was thinking about removing the box all together...that isn't official, i kind of want to see it. I know that it could be bad if it rains, well the car isn't really out in the rain, and this is just for me to know for future reference in case i want to change the filter myself. Thanks for the help.

Simply loosen the clamps holding the coupler (or "air ducting") on, unbolt (or unscrew) whatever is holding the box on, and wiggle it out.
