Nice numbers... I'm assuming you're running a 75 shot wet kit? What kit are you running (Zex, Nos, NX)? Did you install it all yourself?

I would run a supercharger instead of the Nitrous set up if I thought it was worth the $5K. To me, it isn't... but that could change after I try the nitrous out for awhile.

It's actually Nitrous Express and the only Honda motor it works with are B series motors. No love for the F series
NOS has the Nozzle system where the injector is placed on top of a "cup" that flows nitrous and fuel around it, hence eliminating the need to drill and tap. This is a universal part that is available for honda type injectors so it should work with F-series engines. my 2 cents.

nice thread may consider running a direct port to help spool a bigger turbo

how much does it take($) to fill a 5lb botle? how long can a 5lb bottle last?

I believe it's about $45-$55 a bottle fill, and you can get anywhere from 10-20 full shots per bottle. Those are just estimates based on what I've read though.

It can add up pretty quick if you're spraying all the time. But as I'm sure you know, it's illegal to run nitrous for street use, so you shouldn't have it engaged on the street at all. My plan is to take out the bottle unless I'm going to the track, or at the very least have it closed and disarmed. Not only will that reduce my temptation to spray on the random street encounter, but it'll save money as well.

Bump up to the top...

I've decided to go ahead and take the plunge. I know it isn't a popular setup, but I'm going to run a 50 shot wet kit on my S2000, taking every precaution that I can think of to make it safe.

I'm going with an NX kit, window switch, arming switch, WOT switch, bottle warmer, colder plugs, fuel pressure gauge, air/fuel gauge, purge valve, and blow down kit. I may also pick up a VAFC2 to tweak anything I might need to do. It may be a little overkill on the safety side, but I figure that's better than not doing it thoroughly. Is there anything else you guys can think of that I might need? I'm skipping on a remote bottle opener, because I'll only be using it at the track and it isn't too much trouble to open my trunk and just manually open the bottle myself.

Thoughts and opinions appreciated.

Anyone ever hear of the "Sneaky Pete" Nitrous Set-up, my friend has it in his Acura Integra Type R...But I wanted to know if it was safe for our cars, and if it is an option for the guy who started this thread if he doesn't want to lug around big ass bottles...Just a thought..

Is the "Sneaky Pete" set-up the small 12g canisters? If so a friend tried that on his mustang and it was absolutely worthless.

only problem with nitrous, in my opinion, it's like a girl. Can be a little moody sometimes and cause problems. (burnt rings, detonation) but i'm no nitrous expert. I have a kit which I'm thinking of selling but who knows. One girl is enough to deal with.
