I was set to take an Evo. Phase I and II school and had to cancel. Got a credit to another but this was the easiest to get to. A month to 5 weeks sounds right.

I had that exact same metallic rattle sound decided to send my novi 1200 in for a rebuild and we discovered the bearings were worn and so was the back gear case where it holds the bearing. Mine was due to excessive belt tension. I did not trust that metallic sounding rattle.
Thanks, that put me over the top. I got an R/A number from Paxton and sending it off. When I showed it to Evans they said the belt tensioner was maxed out. Until now I was really kind of himming and hawing.
Good stuff, you are in for one hell of a wait. I think it took Paxton over a month to return my unit, I would have paid for the expedited service if I had knowing it was going to take so long.

Just heard from Paxton. It is as you said, an over tight belt. Thanks again for your input.

Wow that was fast! So they already diagnosed it? Only bearings, if so, that's not bad... the back of my gear case had a nasty little notch in it and it was an extra 600 for me.
