Default Noob question about Turbo intake/filter.

So I was wondering might be a noob question but when it comes to running a filter on your turbo setups, wether they are front facing ,top mount, or ram horn has anyone attempted to run a intake and filter all the way down to where let's say a AEM v2 filter would be. Does the intercooler stop this from happening?

I mean for those who run just a filter on the turbo or open turbo you are basically sucking in all the hot air from under the hood. So. I'm basically wondering has anyone ran a tube and filter off the turbo and have it sit where the aem v2 filter is. So like this

I feel like having the filter here would do wonders for the coldest air to work best
For the turbo. And don't get me wrong a lot of you guys don't drive the car in the rain or anything so let's leave that part out lol.

Realistically, you can do whatever you want, I personally wouldn't want an air filter in that spot on a turbo car. Ive also had the Aem v2 intake in the past

I was looking at these K&N apollo intakes:
http://www.knfilters.com/universal/apollo.htm

problem is it says they are good for turbo cars to 350BHP, BHP = crank HP? thats about 300WHP i'm thinking the intake might choke things up

I see your point but I don't think that particular set up will work. However, depending on where your turbo is mounted, you might be able to route an intake pipe from the turbo towards the front of the car to feed in fresh air. Like an aftermarket bumper with a cutout in the front would be ideal. I am trying to come up with something that will get me the fresh air to my forward facing turbo.

Only downside would be if it were to rain, and even then unless you drive
Over a huge puddle you would suck up much water.
I feel having the filter here would provide a substantial amount of fresh cool air.
