I see, so the SOS aftercooler doesnt have a bolt on flange you can remove to adapt something else?

i thank the godzilla is 52 mm it flows alot of air it might work i can tell you without the bov installed i still see 3 psi at redline 6 psi installed i had a diaphragm failure along way from home and just took it off so bolt on a bov and weld one on the other side. its what i would do but i have a tig welder in my garage definitely get an adjustable bov i think tial makes a good one i like the godzilla because it doesn't flutter i has that swish sound but only if you are near redline and chop the throttle and the godzilla is a bolt on comes with an adapter plate

I was just talking to Chris at CT Engineering (Comptech) about this very subject...was asking about upgrades from my 1000... started with talking about 1200 and then he said they have a few cars with the 1500, did not discuss in depth, but he said they could make me the mounting plate and hook me up. Might want to call them and see what they have to say.

So the mount plate is different enough to warrant a redesign from the 1220/1200 plate? Thought they were the same Good to know they have some experience with this now. Thanks for the info

Did he say how much for the mount plate?

From what ive read. The n1200/n1220 has the same bolt pattern as the n1500. At first when sos made there kit they offered just the bracket....on the side and not listed on the website... for under $200 if i recall. That was over 2 years ago so forgive me if i am wrong.

I still say do it. Just put a large bov or wastegate on it. Hell put both. Wastegate to limit top end boost and bov/dv to control part throttle surge

Why would I want to limit top end boost? if I go with the 1500, it isnt to get extra mid range. Might as well just get the 1200.

This actually brings me to my next thought, which is parasitic loss on a 1500 for our little motor. Wish I could drive one to see what normal driving is like around town as well as what the power curve looks like, if it ends up being more "peaky" of a power band because the motor struggles to twist it until it starts getting into the upper mid range of rpms. If that’s the case, 1200 might be more efficient, better well rounded power curve, I don’t know This is going on a 9:1 comp built bottom end btw, which is already going to make it feel more peaky I would emagine.

stil gonna run pump gas right? just toss smallest pulley you can, run the max boost but limit the top for your fuel type.

eiter way i wanna see it done. preferably with a FMIC too.
