Default O2 CEL fix entirely didn't work!

I have 3in turbo back exhaust and e-manage ultimate so I was hoping to perform the CEL fix where you get two spark plug anti-foulers back to back and drill one out. I had another member help me drill out the required .5 in of the inside. His bits weren't in the best of shape and we weren't able to make complete progress but did get the bulk of the way through. I installed the fix wondering why it needed to be a half inch anyway. And it still throws CEL codes 170 and 172 just as frequently as before.

Obviously I need to drill it out. But in my catless situation I was hoping this would have made a difference. And the thread (again wish I has the link) had nobody claiming it didn't work. Seemed like a sure thing. What is going on guys?

so can you use this on the primary O2 sensor? if I'm running emanage? I currently have this on the 2nd O2 sensor and it works good...

good questions, I guess my fix would be leaning it out a bit through the range, I just don't want to get into the danger zone...
