So ive been seing all these other owners putting the wrong oil ex. 5-30 instead of the 10-30, but whats better for us F/I guys? i live in florida and its always hottttttt, so should i run a diff weight oil? waht do u guys run..

 

royal purple 5w-30 and I'm the same as you, turbo'd and in FL

 

I run a w 40 in the summer.
Its just my preference I like to keep the oil pressure up. I don't want to get into a debate about this again. I am simply stating what I use.
mobil one, red line, or royal purple. I am going to take some other members advice and run a 0w20 oil in the cooler months and send some samples off.

 

I was running 10w-30 synthetic, but i will be running 10w-40 regular when my engine is done.

Actually since that post im thinking im going to stick with the synth, but switch to 10w-40.

 

5-30 mobil 1. I used to run 15-50 on my turbo miata but it always had high oil temps so I ran the thicker oil to keep the pressure up during hard runs and whatnot.
