Default Oil Banjo Mod for S/C

Hi I'm going to be running 12 psi on my MY00. Is the oil banjo bolt mod a necessary? I only street my car and do full throttle runs no more than 1 minute at a time.

Thanks all. I won't have it done before getting it tuned but it's on order!

Just got the cylinder #1 bolt in, I'm calling it a NIGHT. It was a nightmare to get in! I threw up from having to lift my head for so long.

Are you using a "wobbly" extension to place it? I've done a lot of these and the wobbly, not a universal, is essential.

Yea I was using a wobble, it was OK but when you turn it kinda gets misaligned. What really helped was to use a 360 degree joint socket along with a long wobble extension. I ended up using electrical tape to hold the wobble part so it wasn't so flimsy.

Even with all this and good visibly, it took a bit of luck for me to get it lol. Took me two dam hours to get it in. I'm glad I took my time though as I've heard some people strip it out.

I'm kinda paranoid about the amount of Rtv I used and excess clogging up the oil lines. Is it alright to have like 1/8" of rtv sticking out?
