Default oil catch can with Vortech

Hey guys, with the help of tmkpres this is what i came up with. (oh and i got this picture from google images, sorry for scribbling on your engine bay



looks right, right? (other then the breather which is optional)

If you want to ditch using a PCV, that will work. It will just be a open remote breather system.


If you have a sealed catch tank with a baffle, it needs to be installed like this.

the catch can im planning on using is the home depot kind, http://www.pbase.com/rsrock/image/33614062 Will my setup still work with the home depot catch can or do i have to install it like yours?

That is meant to be used as a water operator for air compressors. It's a sealed unit and can be bet put in line with the PCV valve. It's not a vented catch tank, so I would not install it like your pic.

I just went from the PCV to the inlet of the catch can and from the outlet to the intake manifold nipple. Mine is the Cusco Catch can. It gets tons of gunk in it too. I clean it every other oil change (5k-6k miles). It seems to be doing its job pretty well!

I capped the nipple on the IM and I Y'd the pcv and breather into one line going into the catch can than the other one goes to the inlet pipe.
