I will check for kinks or obstructions but I doubt it, there really isnt anything else in that area. Does this look ok for return location:

I'd want the return a bit higher, as there is liquid oil in the pan at that height.

Many have tapped the block's girdle, directly above the pan rail.

Your oil return should be high enough as it is right now (high on the oil pan). I suspect your seals gave way early. How do you have your oil feed return mounted? Meaning, are the feed and return openings on the center cartridge exactly perpendicular with the ground? Any more than 30 degrees from perpendicular and that could cause the seals to fail (due to oil backing up in the center cartridge.)

They are not straight up and down. Not even close, the manifold design does not allow for them to be since the four bolts from the turbine frame are directly below the center cartridge.

Here you can see the angle of the return. I think it is under 30* still though. You cant really see it in the picture but there is a 45* peice threaded into the turbo that the AN line screws on to and then angles back.
