About to switch over to Brad Penn, now should i use 20-50, or 10-30? My motor is stock.
10/30. I think 20/50 is too thick and may actually starve your engine of lubrication due to the small oil passages and tight tolerances. If you could find a 5/50 race oil and your FI where higher temps are reached and or tracking the car, then that I might consider. 5 to 10/40 is typically the go to for those applications though.
i always use brad penn 20/50 on fi motors. i like the extra oil pressure and will sacrifice the little loss of hp for it.

Brad Penn, Valvoline VR1, and Rotella T are all good oil choices for turbo cars. I use the Valvoline VR1 in my track car. I would not use RP under any circumstances.

I was using Amsoil previously, but decided to switch to 10W40 Brad Penn this last change. Seems good so far. No complaints whatsoever.

I'd guess they are relatively close in performance. However, the main benefit of Brad Penn (over Amsoil) is the price. It is much cheaper.
