Default Oil filter blew off HELP

hey guys fired up my car today seems everything went well double checked was poositive it was good started it up. Then 3 seconds later i here a pop and instantaly shut engine off.. Checked under the hood and the filter blew off from my oil filter reloctaion.

Obvviously it blew off because of too much pressure.. I dont see why it would do this..Maybe oil lines are connected backwards..

Anyways there was oil everywhere..cleaned it up and about half still left in the motor when i drained it. I hope i didnt **** my motor..

anyways im off to buy more oil and im gonna ,aybe look into the lines. Please help

The lines are backwards, you just ran the engine dry and built so much pressure against the check vavle in the filter it burst.

Not nessacaily, but you need to be carful it can & will cause damage. Make sure you have the lines hooked up properly.

If you got the greddy relocation kit, it says to have the outer oil outlet on the plate to be at the 7 o clock position. I don't know if it would cause that problem but worth looking into. Did you check the lines for clogs when you installed them too? Even though mine were brand new I still blew through them for that little extra "sleep better" feeling.

Oh man, that had to be a shock. Hope it all works out OK...

Also, make sure the lines are not kinked. If they're installed in the right location but are kinked (bent) then oil may not flow properly.
