Default oil return line leaks

alright so my -10an braided line for the oil return the line leaks at the bottom where its not sealing up tight like the hose is backing out of the fitting.

can i take it apart, push the hose back down in the fitting and put it back together?

not my pic but the hose isn't seated all the way down into this part of the fitting

Yes, I would cut the last 1/2 inch off the hose (the mangled part) after you remove the leaky fitting. Then slide the hose further up in the adapter and tighten it. That way the fitting clamps into fresh rubber and has a better seal.

don't pull the hose out unless you have to. try to get it to work by just pushing in the hose a bit after you loosen the fittings.

i took the end off and tapped (by smacking it against the work bench) the hose back into the fitting and tightened it down. if it leaks again i'll build a new line. i think it should be good to go though
