joey i was in the same position as you. when i was ordering my stuff 6+ months ago.

I came from having a comptech s/c for almost 2 years. so when i switched over to a turbo it was a HUGE noticeable difference. My power came on soo much faster then my S/C will EVER accomplish. my vtec was set at 4200rpms with the s/c and now its 5200rpms with the turbo and STILL with the turbo i'm noticing my power much sooner and im easily making over 500whp on dynamics.

When i was choosing turbo's the gt30 sounded ideal for what i wanted but like always anyone is gonna want to have a little more power.

I thought the gt35r would be too slow but...no i don't agree it spools too slow. if you hit it at any rpm above 2500 you will instantly get about 2lbs of boost then it will continue to make more

hit it at 4k rpms your at about 5lbs instantly and making more really quickly.

Also when you race your gonna be above 6k rpms the whole time and thats were the GT35R really shines. To be honest when i drive around in the city i rarely Ever go past 5k rpms when shifting... i just don't need to LOL it makes soo much power theres no point to go higher.

With a gt30 you can't exactly blow a 2009 GTR away either ;-)

i did with my gt35r and the look on there face was worth the extra 500rpms of lag in the spool.

But you also came from a Greddy turbo so the gt35r will be different to get used to. the power trade off is great

Get the GT35r; that way you won't lay awake at night thinking "what if"

if you really have to ask.. then i'll make the choice for you... GT40R.. spools a little bit slower than the 35, but makes 600+

just DO IT! if youre set on the garrett turbos, then the 35r with the .82 housing is your best bet

borg warners, s360 or S362 will be better.. s362 spools a bit quicker than the 35R, makes MORE power than the 35R, and cost a bit less.. and is NOT BALL BEARING, which means if it ever breaks, it can be rebuilt. unlike the GT turbos, once they break, a fix will cost almost as much as a new turbo.

Hey Joey,
If you haven't bought your turbo yet I would go with a Forced Performane turbo. They are building a turbo for my setup right now that is like the GT35 but its upgraded and capable of high 700hp.

If you have any questions pm me.
