Your second failure was probably an air bubble in the coolant. Probably didn't bleed the system when you replaced that hose?

Either way it sucks rocks. I don't know what OJR was talking about, I've NEVER heard of the stock water pump pulley failing on stock, or even with any other SC'r kit. If it had happened I'm sure it would be on this site somewhere.

an indestructible pulley is already in the works.

I am curious. When the belt failed it would have stopped spinning the alternator. Shouldnt you have gotten a 'Battery' light on the dash? That should have given you immediate warning that your belt failed.

Oh man, Now I feel like a total A-Hole, I seen you on the fwy. Well I seen the top of your car. I called S2khabitat that was following and asked him is that was a S2000 broken down in that weird carpool/fasttrack lane. He said he didn't see anyone so we kept going.

I feel really bad leaving you behind. (yes yes, enter the obligatory "leaving your behind joke")

At least I offered my pulley

The pulley just isn't designed to have that much load and vibration against it.

Indestructible pulley is in the works? just make it solid and thicker. It should solve the problem.

Very True..

However the Hondata IMG is just a bad choice of a mod. I had two fail on me. The first one melted and the second one was a coolant party that i couldn't control that led to serious over heating and me having towing my car home. I know how you feel. I just ended up replacing it with the oem gasket and called it a day. It's not woth the 3-5% in TQ increase..Hope you have someone that can make you a deal on the install. Honda hit me for big bucks for that one..

Were they the real Hondata gaskets? I heard the other brands melt. I was going to get the gasket, but I don't want to deal with leaks and melts.
