The owner, despite proclaiming that he does all of his own service, seems to be inept at even removing the belt, so I don't know if we'll ever get the full picture (whether it broke off or fell out). They were clearly not oem bolts though, as they had lock washers and flat washers on them.

Sorry to hear this happened to you as well man.

Happened to me the same way. Overheated without knowing the coolant temperature => head + bottom end warped
My Hondata gasket broke too and was leaking coolant.

Good thing is I had a good reason to get a built block. Was way easier to convince my wife this time around

So to everyone without temp gauges or other cooling mods => GET THEM.
I got the modifry mod + a seperate DEFI water temp gauge + sensor.

If you track the car with high boost you are going to need serious cooling mods.

I just finished installing a dual core radiator in my car to complement the longer Mocal oil cooler. I hope to keep the temps down at the track. It's 104 F out there. I'll post some pics of the install in the other KW coolant thread. I also monitor the engine coolant temperature from the OBDII, and am installing an oil temp gauge on the stack.

BTW this is my water pump pulley after almost 50,000 miles -- most of that running the KW High Boost Kit. The pulley has been R and R-ed a couple of times for installations. I don't see any hairline cracks at all, so apparently it is still good to go.

Hey Jim! I hope your waterpump pulley survives without incident. Mine lasted till I had 83,000 miles on the car, 60,000 miles after installing the KW kit. I watched it closely after the first failure was posted and I caught it while still in the hairline crack stage.

Hey when are you going to post some video? I have only seem one that Slambo took while he was chasing you.

Best wishes,
Don
